Jim Riggs is now with the Eastern Professional Hockey League. Smart man to get away from that Haines guy.

I would bet that the same thing that happened between Mr. Haines and a number of other parties also happened between Mr. Haines and Mr. Riggs. Here's a hint: one of them is out money and time.

not trying to knock on this league or anything before it gets rollin, but look at that logo, and thats supposed to be professional? what ever happened to the days of "leagues" not feeling at though they had to incorporate a puck or something into their logo. as if we all dont know its a hockey league. these leagues are all starting to look the same.
First impression is everything. The web site is worse than MAHL and NEHL's and the logo is on par with NEHL.

Travel and hotels will doom this league, Jamestown?
I'll reserve judgment on the website until it no longer says under construction. As for the logo, it isn't great, but no one says "I'd go the the game tonight, except I don't like the league logo." The MAHL teams all has good logos, and look how they ended up.....

Is Jamestown in this league? If so, as far as the travel, you are correct, but it depends on what the other cities are. With the exception of Valley Forge, I don't think the MAHL teams had any overnight trips.

West Orange is only like 2 1/2 hours from Danbury, so no problem there. If Danbury and Jamestown are the west-east extremes, it won't be so bad. But if they add teams outside that, expenses go way up.

whats the deal with these guys? if you cant keep a deadline, how do you expect to run a league? and it doesnt take weeks to get a fairly decent website up, any kid could do a site in a day or two that would look semi pro!
