Officials from the Toronto Raptors were in Rochester Tuesday to discuss an affiliation with the Rochester RazorSharks.

Plans were discussed for the RazorSharks to move from the Premier Basketball League to the NBA Developmental League, RazorSharks owner Dr. Severko Hwrynak said.

The article goes on to say the earliest this could happen would be for 2015-16. This would finish off the PBL, though, wouldn't it?

Given the PBL's recent history, I'm surprised at the NBA. The last time the D League took in a team from another league, it was a craptacular failure.

By my count the imported teams are batting a little better than D-League franchises;

Long Beach Jam (ABA) – Bakersfield
Dakota Wizards (IBA/CBA) – Santa Cruz
Idaho Stampede (CBA) – Current
Sioux Falls Skyforce (CBA) – Current
Arkansas RimRockers (ABA) – Folded

You should get an OSC T-Shirt or something, with that post of the day. :)

I'd assume your referring to the Arkansas failure. But hey, the ABA got a mention from ESPN.

That's the one I was thinking of.
