It's been a couple of years since I frequented the boards.... when last here Super-Kenny was pontificating about Global Economics... is he still up to that kinda crap??

Here's a little something to brush the cobwebs away on the CBA board: //www.oursportscentral.com/boards/ ... post153149

Yes, I'm still around the boards and yes I'm still interested in the global economy. I don't think analysis is crap though. Since this is the PBL board, I think the PBL would be in much better shape if they did a little analysis every now and then.

[quote=""Cazzzmo""]2+ years ''down the road'' now and All-Knowing Kenny was at least partially right for once.... yep, Minot is POSITIVELY affected 'cause we can at least fill some of our thousands of job openings with folks from the Northeast....

The problem is, people would have to relocate to North Dakota. There are scores of people in the Great Lakes region and Northeast who rather stay put risking an uncertain future than venture anywhere near Minot. That's not meant to be a put down. Are some of the lowest wages in America STILL also found in North Dakota?

BTW, has Minot been able to sustain a minor league basketball team yet? I haven't followed ALL the news. 8)

Reason: ...this "IS" the PBL board. My command of the english language is questionable.

From the second article linked-to above that you apparently didn't read (once again) before commenting:

The superstar of North Dakota is its economy. The state's unemployment rate hasn't touched 5% since 1987. The state's per capita income rose over the decade from 38th in the nation to 17th, the biggest advance of any state.

And, it's all about cost of living, my friend . . . i.e. making $100K in ND is like making $150K(+) in parts of CA, IL, MI, NJ etc...

Funny, somehow I'm almost certain that your definition of sustain for a minor league hoops franchise has a much more rigid standard than the definition you apply to your ''personal skills'', if you know what I mean . . . .

Honestly no, I don't know what you mean. Sorry about that. Also, it wasn't just the second link. I didn't bother to follow ANY of your links since Minot isn't a PBL destination.

As I stated, I've been tardy with the news. Is Minot being seriously considered for another franchise? Maybe a new franchise in the defunct PBL? Well, the PBL as people knew it is defunct (IMO).

every three years or so we like to log-in to revisit all-knowing Kenny's stellar analysis of the global economy and how it will eventually catch-up with those of us living here in the great state of North Dakota . . . well, Kenny, here's the latest news:

http://money.cnn.com/2014/06/11/news/ec ... a-economy/

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/bus ... /10377735/

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/ ... story.html

http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/north-dakota-jobs-6/

N.D. = #1 time and time again in nearly all economic measurements.... (and Minot is in the heart of it all)

So, Kenny, we're still waiting here for your statements to become true... some five years later. Actually, Kenny, the POLAR OPPOSITE of your prognostication has transpired. We are LEADING the global economy. And your ridiculous comments about low wages in ND from three years ago is still entirely false.

Lesson to be learned: only Chris Lindbo and his Dolt Patrol could f-up what the SkyRockets had going in what was a ''hot'' and getting hotter economy in the Minot region back in '08...

Had you researched, you'd have seen that Ken hasn't posted here since April 30.

It is entirely possible he's no longer here for you to poke at him...
