A lot of Laker brass showed up for an event in Bakersfield the other day, does that mean the Lakers will enter into a hybrid agreement with the Jam and drop the Defenders? J.Buss was quoted as saying she loves the Jams mini facility and business model

Chicago Summer League

Is the PBL placing a PBL select team in this years new Chicago Summer League?
I thought I read somewhere that they were forming a squad. Does anyone know anything? It would be nice to see how the PBL guys do vs. The baby Bulls.

[quote=""ABA_TampaBay""]Paul, the word "viable" was loosely used as there are no on-solid-ground basketball leagues in the country, even the NBA-D. I didn't mean to make it sound like the ABA is the end-all, be-all of MILBB. Beck, credit only extended to those who are s...

Hello ABA Tampa Bay welcome to the forum, good luck with your exciting new ABA franchise, I'm looking to start a franchise in your outstanding leaque. But I lack funds, can a young dreamer like myself get a market reserve on ABA credit? Do you have any pull with the infamous JN?

Your new buddy,
Beck

[quote=""not so fast""]I am more and more confident with each passing day, that the PBL will not play next season. I know the Doc wants to have a season, and I know carrie and doc are working very hard to make it happen, but they cannot control the economy which ken steelheads fa...

SA-The D-league is already taking this route. Williams went straight HS to D-L last year and Tyler will do the same next year. After the next CBA, the D-L salaries will increase and the flood gates will open. Therefore, I agree with the others. The PBL would be better served as either a veterans lea...

[quote=""Ken, Steelheads fan""]I'd like to see you do that. I'd like to see you laugh it off after being assaulted by a fan. You've played sports, right? Also, you're talking about alpha-type personalities in the mist of heated competition. That cowardly fan is fortunate an alpha...

The LA Lakers made 55 mil in profit last year, in fact all the large market teams other than Dallas (and NJ) made a profit and Dallas lost money by choice, they elected to pay a luxury tax to smaller market teams in order to exceed the salary cap. In the NBA the salary cap is inflated by large marke...

[quote=""nksports""]That is a completely different model. The Lakers don't use the the D-Fenders for revenue. Until this season, they didn't even sell tickets (Laker season ticket holders could attend games). The closest comparisons would be: 1. the high school JV game, or 2. in ...

This is good news, a 10K bond would only cost a team between 300 and 1000, unless they brake the terms of the leagues rules and regulations. You guys should also make each team contribute to a league wide travel fund. The teams with the most overall mileage traveled would pay a larger % of the trave...
