If he sticks to his word to the people of Ft.Wayne, he'll have to
consider dealing with them. As far as the AHL goes, we in this city
know we can compete on the (AAA) level with attendance, building, etc.
Ticket pricing would go up and so would travel costs.
? would be, getting an NHL affiliation.

Another quote from Ft.Wayne's Franke

On Sat. Feb. 13 on a local radio sports callin show, Fort Wayne Komets president and IHL Board of Govs., Michael Franke stated the following: "If for some reason the IHL fails to become profitable either now or in the foreseeable future, I'll promise the fans of Fort Wayne that we will have a t...

I wouldn't know why not. I can't speak for the AFL Rush or the IFL Slaughter, but the CIFL Cards only have a 10 game schedule with 6 home dates. You'd think that old Bonecrusher management will put a good team on the field and w/ the (new) CIFL budget structure, they should make a good showing &...

In this economy it's wonder there are even 6 teams. The Midwest is feelin the tanked economy pretty bad. Mad props to the CIFL for getting the 6 best franchises possible at this juncture. Look for expansion in 2011 & beyond. Oh and BTW. A CIFL team (Cincinnati) is playing an IFL team (Bloomingto...

Now that all the AA leagues are on speaking terms, I think you are gonna see some changes all the way around in the coming year or 2. If things work out right, all the AA leagues and franchises will align with the soon to be 30 AHL teams. The weak franchises will fall by the way and the strong ones ...

And the premise in AA is to have 38-40 AA franchises
affiliate with those 30 AHL teams. If all the strong to
semi-strong AA franchises can get on the same page.
From what I'm hearing, at least they're talking now.

This was a terrible decision on Muskegon's part. That whole town is pissed. I've heard they will not support a hockey team that plays down a level or 2. IHL is expanding next year to 8 or more teams. All the currant league members are expected to return. And with the probable folding of the (single ...

Although the league will lose Muskegon, it is true that a new lease agreement has been signed for use of the Sears Centre (in suburban Chicago) for a return of the Hounds (or some other nickname) Evansville is def in for 2010-11 and maybe 1 or 2 more. League meetings concluded today in Detroit. Offi...
