Expansion?

Does anyone know if there are any expansion plans? I would love to see Softball Canada get behind this, sort of like the NWSL is and place a team in Saskatoon. The WSBC 2015 Men's Championship was just held there and it set a record for the highest attendance in tournament history. I believe the fin...

From what I've seen of the AUDL on the net, I would love to see this grow. I think it could be one of those sports that could easily utilize, NCAA Division II and III and CIS stadiums. I'd love to see a team set up shop near me in either Edmonton or Saskatoon.

I honestly don't hate the FXFL as a concept. However, what I do hate is these fly by night organizations that pop up in towns that deserve a decent professional team and disappear without paying all their bills. I followed the FXFL as best as I could last season from Canada (which meant no live game...

Well so much for this league being a standard bearer for minor pro basketball. I guess you take a team out of the ABA, but you can't take the ABA out of the team.

This annoys me, American football is not growing in Canada, Canadian football is. The four down, 100 yard game is not growing at all in Canada. BC High Schools play 4 downs, but everything else is Canadian rules and Simon Fraser University plays in NCAA Division II and that's it. The only reason som...

[quote=""Sam Hill""]I'm sure there's part of both (or all three). Some people - and not just in Russia - get off on being a pro sports owner, though Americans seem to understand the profit motive a bit more. The stereotype would lend one to believe the clubs are all fronts for il...

Looks like this is still moving along. http://www.bramptonguardian.com/sports-story/5271929-rival-basketball-leagues-shooting-for-franchise-in-waterloo-region/ What amuses me about this story is this quote: While Carter doesn't yet have an operational team much less a league, he does have something ...

Looks like this is still planning on going. Though a major shift in the idea behind it. Carter’s CBL plan will start in Ontario and eventually expand across the country. The goal is to tip off next fall with six teams. Ottawa would begin in 2016, to allow time to assess sponsorship possibilities and...

Despite the low attendance of the opener, the idea of the league is a good idea in theory. If I lived near a team, I would definitely go to every game. I've often wondered about some of the posters on here. It does seem like many are naysayers and I've often wondered would you attend a game given th...

Whether or not this league succeeds or not, I am interested in seeing how this plays out. I noticed that Elliot Mealer is playing with the Omaha Mammoths. I saw the ESPN E60 special about him and his family last year and the courage of him and his brother to overcome the tragedy has made me a fan of...
