Summarize the season thus far

I stopped following the league when my hometown team (Halifax) left the league last season and posts on here and the limited press coverage don't seem to tell me much... so how has the season been? What fraction of games are being played? How is attendance? How is the level of play? Any good story l...

London deserved the title. Halifax pushed them hard in the series, but even has a Halifax fan I can't say I ever felt that there was much more than a slim shot that Halifax could beat MRR's finally oiled machine. I am super happy for the London fans who really went out and supported the team all sea...

[quote=""wasteland""]I remember Halifax had a reported 8,422 fans in the stands for a preseason game so I figured they would average well over 3k a game. Was that preseason game heavily papered with free tickets (or even reduced price tickets) to give the locals a taste of the ac...

He is definitely doing things well in London and has the money to back up a lot of his plans. That said, I am not going to call an owner "the class of the league" after he tried to get me and a group of other fans ejected from a game when his team were the visitors because he didn't like t...

I don't like Windsor for the reasons mentioned above. The Sault makes a ton of sense. I also think Sydney would be an awful move. It's economically depressed and the Q team already have too strong a foothold is a market that size. The only other viable market left in the maritimes is Fredericton and...

[quote=""LR Lightning""]You are absolutely right! These are several good points you touched on. Right now, the canadian teams are trying to recoup the money invested. From League fees to travel cost to front office personnel, all across the board. And the only teams that are benefi...

Is it viable in the long term? I have no idea. But I would be absolutely shocked if we saw a team fold mid-season. 3 ownership groups are proven (Halifax, SJ and Quebec), 3 have big money backers (London, Oshawa and Moncton) and one is located in a municipality that is so desperate for entertainment...

Rick Lewis was the director of the combine. He ran all of the drills and oversaw the scrimmages. I assume that no time outs were ever called and that, despite not signing up for the draft, Blandon Ferguson got a lot of floor time. I was super impressed by the quality of the broadcast. They hired big...
