Coyotes want Western Affiliate

The rumors keep circulating:

Coyotes Want Arizona-based AHL Affiliate

I can't see an AHL team being located anywhere else in Arizona besides Tucson, but then again Glendale would make a great spot for an AHL team.

[quote=""wellington""] If St. George can have a solid 500-1000 per game they could be a flagship franchise in the Pecos League. The key is having a cluster of teams in northern AZ, western CO, and Utah (i.e. Price). They could probably have an eastern division (Las Cruces, Alpine...

Pecos League in 2011

I'm not too familiar with the CBL, and I'm aware that its membership is down to 4 teams, but are there talks of expansion for 2011? As for Desert Valley, it seems like St. George could be their new home, according to Wikipedia . Here are some thoughts as to why this might be: --At least according to...

RoadRunners Return

Well, it looks like the St. George RoadRunners aren't done yet; a new ownership group has bought the team, which will be fielded for at least one more year. Here is the link:

'Runners back in Play for 2010

So, it looks like we'll at least have some $1 muffins and the like this summer. :-D

Wait, wait, wait...I thought the website said that the team was going to be back in 2010. So let's get this straight, did ownership see this coming? Is the franchise in Hawaii supposed to be the relocated 'Runners? Where are the answers? Way to leave us hanging, Mr. Berry.

Personally, I wonder if the park at Dixie State was partially built to house a minor-league team. I know that the Orem Owlz' park was built to house them and UVU. But has anyone heard that Rick Berry (StG GM/Part Owner) is also thinking of starting a GBL team in Hawaii? Does this mean that he has pa...
