In a...well, let's just call it "surprising" move, the Bakersfield Jam has hired Will Voigt as their new head coach.

I don't know enough to say if this is a good hire or a bad hire, but didn't see anything overly negative or positive on the boards... What do you guys think?

How is this D-League related?

Haha, actually not money - he made just $100 for the first three preseason games and was set to make $1000/month, same as the other players set to make the team. He was told it was so they wouldn't lose the chemistry that they had last season. Why bring a player in if you have no plans of keeping him?

To make room on the roster, the Slam have released forward Brandon Smith. Through the first three games, Smith averaged 24.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game and helped Bellingham to a 2-1 record.

How does that make sense?

I'm looking to see how Brandon Smith played.

Colorado is folding. Not Albuquerque.

I frequently watch parts of it when it's on the D-League site. Their prospect watch is a joke, at best.
