I, for one, don't believe that performance on the field (W/L) has that much of an impact on attendance figures. Marketing generally drives attendance on top of the diehard fans (I missed 2 games in the pas 18 years). Also, depending on particulars of the l...
The Jackals held on to win the regular season can am title. Art Charles won the first ever can am league triple crown. However, the Jackals finished dead last in attendance. Let me repeat that, dead last in attendance with a first place team......[/quote...

Darn I hope the Jackals survive. It seemed like they drew better this year and unlike the last three seasons when attendance collapsed during the second half of the season, this season it didn't happen until the final few weeks. The New Jersey Jackals often reminded me the Birmingham Barracudas and ...

Darn, those numbers reminds me those years when only 4 Can-Am teams drew over 1000. It's like the world is upside down now, with Can-Am having zero team under 1600 this year, although for the first time in its history no team averaged over 3000... Here are the numbers in comparison: Rockland Boulder...

I hope next year they do the Cuba series again. Watching these guys play was awesome. They looked a bit tired near the end of the doubleheader but despite losing both games they gave Capitales an hard time. I'm betting they take the next two. Also it was an huge seller. Yesterday there were 3700 peo...

Sadly, that tactic doesn't work well in Canada because the federal government and most provincial governments in Canada are against spending public money in stadiums. And if owners threaten to move the team elsewhere it often doesn't work, as demonstrated with the Winnipeg Jets and Quebec Nordiques ...

New Jersey at the top of the standings yet again, like most years. The way they're managed and rebuilt year after year and destroyed at the end of the season I think we can easily guess what will happen again during playoffs: Another choking fest

I'm shocked at how fast US stadiums come and go compared to Canadian ones. In Canada, some hockey arenas like the Winnipeg Arena or Montreal Forum lasted us over 50 years and we have baseball stadiums like in Trois-Rivières and Quebec City that have been open since 1939 (although Quebec stadium went...

Shame that Camden folded. I thought they weren't doing bad. I wonder if they actually just suspended operations to rejoin the league later or if they could simply join another league (such as the Can-Am) for the 2017 season if they reach an agreement for the stadium? And are there still chances that...

Oh well, good luck to TR and I can't wait for season 2016 for Quebec to win a 7th championship :)
