If costs of travel are starting to take their toll, than merging won't exactly solve that problem. Traveling from Pensacola to Winnipeg to Pittsburgh to St. Louis isn't exactly a low costs league. Factor B is that the Northern League and Frontier League operate on different scales. The FL has (in ge...

The GBL has stretched itself way to too thin. It could have worked as a California/Arizona league, but flying from Hawaii to Victoria to Los Angeles is just too much. Poor business decisions. I hope some of the stronger teams can form new leagues when this one goes under, but I'm not hopeful.

I think the number one problem is the obvious one: the stadium. It's not bad, it'll do, but it's not spectacular, and pictures of it don't exactly inspire the average person to head out there. The first season of a team is usually the best they have for a while in attendance, and the Fielders have c...

What to do when head coach Michael Ray Richardson g...

I was taught to write press releases in high school. Its not that hard people. Really, all you need to do is read a bunch from some major league teams and you should get the idea. Too bad ABA people probably don't know how to read.

I doubt the Southwestern League will get off the ground. I believe Bop Lipp is the one trying to get that going, and he has failed for the last ten years to get a pro league to work in the area.

The Co-Owner (Mike Herren) named himself head coach and reaction in the comment section is not exactly positive: I think the league needs to properly vet Mike Herren!!! And as far as the changes needed to the Armory, who is going to pay for this?? Lots of un answered ???'s I would advise the PBL as ...

The obvious problem with finding new, well financed owners is that smart businessmen don't invest in minor league basketball. The odds of turning a profit are completely against them, especially in such a geographically widespread league. Whoever is going to invest has to be a hardcore basketball fa...
