From what I've seen of the ABA product, you'd be better off having the ever popular dance teams and mascots perform for four 12 minute quarters and have the rec league players perform at halftime.

Ticket requests? Are you joking? All these players will be averaging exactly 0.0 pts and 0.0 rebounds when the visiting team doesn't show because no one had change for the toll booth.I would imagine if your a player on an ABA team, you'd want to be as far from home as possble so no one you know can ...

Everyone here feels the same way, why am I one of the few that express it? If what I write and describe wasn't true, it would be sad and pathetic. But concerning the ABA, its both. If I own a team, I paid $15,000 for it, invite 200 local yocals to tryouts, charge them $150 each, $200 at the door, I'...

If it weren't for the smart assed wise cracks and insults here, many of us would have no reason to look at this board. The ABA is to basketball what this board is to higher learning. People get thrilled to read about the ever popular dance teams, community events where there are 8 people standing in...

The ABA, every owner, every dollar every ABA player has, and their homes aren't worth $6,000,000. Oh, I forgot, this is the league famous for Dr. J, slam dunks and red/white and blue basketballs........40 years ago.

I wouldn't piss on the ABA if it was on fire.

I could stick a sign in my front lawn that says " Steak House", that doesn't make my home a restaurant. Chicago Skyliners ABA- played championship game in front of 300 people Chicago Soldiers ABA- never played a game Chicago Rockets ABA-never played a game Chicago Rockstars ABA- folded aft...

I'm not going to use a racial explaination and get banned......again. Let's just say that there is the Chicago Police District 18 station on 3400 W. Harrison that serves that area and the action never stops. The Throwbacks have a "home court", no phone number, emails that never are answere...

Has anyone here ever been near Washington and California avenues in Chicago where this place is located? As a lifelong Chicagoan, I wouldn't go near there if someone put a gun to my head and a knife to my crotch. A nail salon, barber shop and auto detail shop in the same building? Come on man!! This...

I understand the Marlins example, but the fact is, when the Cubs or Mets or whomever is on the way to Florida, no matter what the crowd size, there WILL be a game. Has any other league had teams just disappear overnight like the ABA does? Disappearing acts, someone else to take their place, and the ...
