Pee Dee has officially relocated to Winston-Salem and will play the 2007-08 season as the Twin City Cyclones.

Any thoughts as to how the franchise will fare in their new home given the troubled history of hockey in Winston-Salem?

As a Richmonder, id love to see Roanoke land an SPHL franchise.....but like i said above, the UHL team was so poorly run that hockey fans in the Valley are fed up with bad owners and it'll def take a few years b4 u see any kinda hockey in Roanoke again

I agree completely. From the conversations ive had with people in the Valley, im under the impression that there wont be hockey there for the next few years.

I kinda thought 7 games would b pushin it.......what i wish they would get rid of is the 1 v 6, 2 v 5 and 3 v 4 format for the opening round.....i understand the theory behind it, im just not a fan of it. i wish theyd consider giving the top 2 teams byes into the semis and have 3 play 6 and 4 play 5...
