That's fair, I don't have any evidence other than the anecdotal... but if I may ask, what gives you the impression that they have been putting their own money back into the league? IF they own the teams they SHOULD profit from the sale... but it begs the question: should they own teams in the first ...

Hmm, instead of selling rights to a new franchise with a moderate ($25-$50k) franchise fee which should be used towards league expenses, M&M start up teams themselves, operate them on the cheap for a season, possibly with some minor partners, then sell them for a half-mil which they undoubtedly ...

In this, you can't really find fault with M&M... unless someone with the city/arena management told them to expect it. Then you'd have to wonder why go through the time and energy of building a fan base in an area you will be forced to abandon.

We've seen some bad press in the Mississippi papers recently... the Mudcats are struggling financially and it's becoming fairly commonplace for teams having a money crunch to "sell" their home postseason games.
