Support for Portland

I would be first in line for season tickets to a CFL team in Portland. I went to the exhibition game in 1992 (I think it was) and had a great time and the stadium was pretty full.

I've been to a number of B.C. Lions games and a Grey Cup in Vancouver and I love the league.
I wonder if there are any stadiums in the US that meet the minimum 20,000 seat capacity that could accommodate the CFL sized field?...Basically, I think US expansion is a dead issue, unless some potential owner wants to build/renovate a stadium so that i...
My vote (let's pretend it matters) is for 1. Ottawa 2. Halifax 3. Windsor 4. Quebec Not bad, eh?
Those are all cities in the East. I suggest Ottawa, Halifax, & Quebec; then move Winnipeg back to the West (again) and adding Portland, Oregon (gues...

So what will happen to this team for 2009? Has anyone heard anything? The league is running out of time if they plan to relocate. If they do, I wonder if it will be to the West so that the conferences will be even at 5 teams apiece.
No announcement in Portland. I smell a rat.
I agree. This league has gotten zero attention in the general media. No one seems to be taking them seriously.

Katie Thomas seems to be unaware that the UFL does not plan to start until 2009 as well. The UFL people really need to update their website.

Well, now the Philadelphia Barrage will be playing a game in Dallas as well as Portland (and elsewhere). If the league does not expand in 2009, and if the Barrage is moved to a Western city to even up the divisions, I would imagine (even though it pains me to say it) that they would pick Dallas over...

Just that it'll be at Hillsboro Stadium, not downtown... which probably makes sense. This sport probably belongs out in Washington County in a smaller stadium.
That's excellent news! Thanks for the heads-up.

Well, where is it?

From an older article on UFL Access: "Huyghue told us the league will announce six teams, six ownership groups, six stadium deals, and a national television deal towards the end of March." Has anyone heard anything? On April 1st it may be too easy to take a shot and call the UFL a joke, bu...
