[quote=""Precious Roy""]The time change was why it was canceled, Michael Ray was in the air at that time flying in from New Orleans and the NBA All-Star game. The CBA says that it's not weather problems in GF, but weather problems in Kansas City, which is also a load of crap, unl...

When I watched the Miners-Daredevils webcast on Saturday ,Tuckman was on the halftime show talking about building a venue close to Four Season Arena--he'd use the facility for the Explorers and an Arena Football team he apparently owns to the rights too (I'm not sure what league that would be). The ...

I'm not sure if it would work in Dayton--they had a WBL team for two years (The Wings) that won a league championship but they didn't draw very well, and they had the Jets in the IBL in 2005. The Jets played at Hara, a 5,500 seat arena in Trotwood, a suburb in northwest Dayton (a questionable area f...

CBA in Ohio?

I was watching a Yakama Sunkings webcast a couple of weeks ago, just before the All-Star game, and they interviewed the CBA's assistant commissioner (I think that was the title) saying there was an ownership group from Ohio interested in a CBA team for next year--this got referenced before this seas...

Some friends of mine in Cincinnati have said that the local media has talked about getting a D-league team there. It sounds cool, but I don't think it could compete with UC or Xavier hoops. How about Kansas City? Getting an NHL or NBA team in Sprint Center is sort of bleak right now and you'd have K...

Ft. Wayne Basketball

I think it'd be cool if Ft. Wayne got a D-League team that functions as a direct affiliate to the Detroit Pistons. They could be the Ft. Wayne Pistons! Is IPFW really a big deal there though? I got a friend that grew up in Ft. Wayne and he talked about the Komets and Fury being the major sports scen...

Nashville Sounds

I thought I'd just post about my first PCL and AAA game experience. I drove my girlfriend down to Clarksville to see her family. Before we went down I suggested going to see the Nashville Sounds one day just to do something cheap. We took her niece with us and went and saw the Sounds play the Memphi...

Wright State is building a new, small, sports complex across from Nutter that's supposedly going to be the new home for the men's team. I know Nutter Center is WSU property but I can't see it being that great for the Raiders either... I guess the men's team drew pretty well at Hobart and Hara this p...

IBL: Dayton Jets Vs. Youngstown Wildcats

I might check go out to the game tonight. I know there isn't a whole lot of IBL discussion on here but does anybody know anything about Youngstown? I hear they're really good and they handed the Jets their only loss this season.

Re: manual process

One thing for sure... the only records of anything in the Tacoma News-Tribune are the February 4 article announcing the team and a February 4 column offering a goodbye with the hello... theoretically (I'm not about to pay the $2 to see if the story matches the headline). Evidentally, to get in the ...
