Marion Mayhem no more? ? ?

With the recent "plea" for money, and the lack-luster attendance this season, I would have to say the Marion Mayhem are dead. The lone origional GLIFL team left in the CIFL has likely played it last down of football. The field turf, which is still owned by the previous owners, is no longer...
I think so...
I have heard that a new ownership group has taken over . . . not the old Stan Jackson / Marion Football LLC group. Assuming this is true and the team takes the field, at least old "Stan-the-Man" won't be at the helm. ...
Yeah, Columbus could really cause some mayhem in the league...
COUGH rumors COUGH

If it happens they will be the laughing stock of the league . . . and that's saying something. No sponsors, no fans, no $$$.

Think it could be the former owners of the Marion Mayhem? They sold the team this year after operating it since '06. I know they are from the Canton / Akron area. And the rumor was that they really wanted to get a team going (in the CIFL) closer to their homes. Could it be . . . Canton Legends in th...

2009 CIFL Playoffs

Fort Wayne Freedom (6-5) @ Marion Mayhem (9-3) After a lot of speculation, the Freedom have put the word out that they will be ready to play in Marion on the 20th. Depending on which team shows up will determine how good of a game this is. Will this be a matchup like their previous matchup in Marion...
Hi gonzo, I've got to agree w/ all your mid-season picks. Michna or Morgan is a hard choice in the CIFL. As far as CIFL coach, I'd say figure Pep @ Marion too. He's doing a real good job with the Mayhem.
Dang Summit, you are really giving pr...

3 times in one season is awesome, with the fourth in the playoffs . . . sweet. At least the loser on the 23rd cannot grumble about schedules or some other BS. Last year the Mayhem were in a conference with Rochester, Saginaw, and Flint. Marion only played Rochester and Saginaw once each in the regul...

Good to see you finally come over to the dark side Mr. Summitcounty :D . The Mayhem are playing great ball right now and as long as they keep the "one game at a time" approach going, it looks like the east will go thru Marion. I can't wait for the game this week against Wheeling but I am r...
