The Amarillo Gorillas and Corpus Christi Ice Rays CHL franchises fold, but are replaced by NAHL junior hockey franchises. Consolidated Holdings, who recently bought the Frisco Texas Tornadoes, bought Albert Lea and moved the club to Amarillo. And the Ice Rays bought Alpena... The summer silly season...

Oklahoma City fans chose Barons for their own reasons having nothing to do with any previous AHL club. I am not even sure the fans knew there used to be a Cleveland Barons club.
