What is up with your signature?

If you use the word "real" in the same sentence as the NIFL,
it must be preceded by "sucks" and followed by "bad."

Anyway, if the UIF allowed in SD it would be going
against the very fiber of why the owners formed
the league in the first place. But then again, nothing
surprises me anymore . . .

Why? SD agrees with the fiber of why the UIF formed...to get away from Shiver (or Kurz, in a couplea cases). If that's the only criteria, then the Shockwave are golden to the UIF!

Yeah, plus I hear the UIF is looking at offers from Prescott, AZ (home of the CHL Sundogs), San Bernardino, and Los Angeles...Could make a solid Western division with Billings and Colorado...

That wasn't the reason . . .

I'm disappointed exit.
Don't tell me you have forgotten all those great Rich Coffey quotes already.

Yeah it was. And I do remember all of those Rich Coffey quotes (and missed bills, for that matter).

The UIF was formed because those owners wanted to get away from Shiver (or Kurz). If it's for any other reason, the UIF failed miserably. Travel costs have been higher for just about every team, and they increase for almost everyone every year. Teams aren't making more money in the UIF than they did in the NIFL. Sure, the UIF's more legitimate NOW, but I don't think it was much more legitimate in 2005 than the NIFL was in 2004.

Sure it was, for the very reason that the people running the NIFL were not involved in UIF. That alone increased UIF's legitimacy, and history has borne out that point.

Not at that time. History has, but at the time it was done, the UIF (with the Dayton screwup) wasn't much more legitimate than the NIFL. By the end of the season, it was, but it doesn't change the fact that the UIF was formed as a grudge against Shiver.

This isn't an argument about whether or not the UIF is more legitimate...of course it is. At their infancy, it was questionable, but that quickly changed as the NIFL traveled down the road it traveled down. The UIF wasn't formed because of 'travel costs' or any of that, and anyone that thinks it was is kidding themselves.

Default So what is exit's grudge?

I was hinting at the "travel cost" issue that seemed to come up over and over when the UIF formed. But seeing as you "have it out" for the UIF these days I'll let it go, as I was simply kidding around with it. Hence the ()

As far as being legitimate when the UIF formed, it was definitely superior from day one for the exact reasons of Dayton. They were not ready to play and the UIF made sure they didn't. I applaud their stance in the face of certain criticism by people like you. It was a job well done, and Dayton went back to the league where "being ready" for a season means little.

Take it EZ Josh.
