A news conference held in Corpus Christi announced the Corpus Christi Rage, but didn't discuss a division of possible teams they would need in order to save money in the long term, if they were to play as the league is currently published.
The travel of a season pushes the operating cost well into the red ink marking even more than it will be already operating sure the usual noise of we are prepared for this will be the company line, but this team would only make sense in the ADL with a division and without any supporting announcement from the league, are they even on the same page......

If Jacksonville joins the ADL it will be temporary, as was stated in another thread organizations operating with the cash this team has had to spend in its recent past, to being told what to do by a league it could simply buy and has no equal within it, they would simply absorb the ADL in parts on there way to a new league, which reports are very strong of being what Jacksonville has in mind.

Looks like the first season of the ADL is going to be a rocky one, another team leaves the fold to join a league that currently appears it could be a division within some league.

The Corpus team from what is being floated around was to be one of a few teams within a Texas division that was to include Mexico, but that appears to have dissolved leaving Corpus with travel problems for first season and possibly ending their season by the midseason point as operating cost mount.

Jacksonville appears to have slowed its move into the league, which would have been for one season only anyway, though something could still work in way of games being played between the two groups.

The ADL could possibly become a third indoor league, but will have to rethink how to get there, as far as these other leagues reported in the minor league franchise report on this site (wasted ink) reporting on leagues who's teams have facebook pages without any real content relevant to them being anything other than weekend warrior semi pro ventures, you can always spot them by lack of any real mission statement or relevant information other than a tryout fee.:

And that is okay for those leagues a group of players who just simply want to play is fine but calling them development leagues makes them the joke maybe low level A class ball but finding even one guy who could be a realistic pro talent even for indoor football would be reaching cool:

Giving some semblance of a schedule would go a long way toward giving me confidence to buy season tickets.

Face it guys. Indoor football as we know it is dead. PIFL died. AFL on life support. ADL is sputtering. IFL is hobbling along. The game is dead.

A truly national league is dead, yes.

If the fractured organizations realize that they need to come together on one set of rules and one league structure, regionally focused, and requiring evidence of enough capital to sustain a team for more than a few games... it could carry on as a niche sport.

But since I don't think the people in the game have the ability to cooperate in that manner... they're doomed.

Down goes the Tarpons? Fever its going to be hard for you to buy into the season ticket sales the ADL is losing teams faster than Trump's wall that has become a fence.

Its not hard to think of why they would leave, the trip to Texas for a game with Corpus is not what they signed up for nor appear to be interested in.

The real question here will become can the ADL get through a season one, then adjust to (scale) though scale in the sense of the word in relation to indoor football, is can they grow in number of teams, because none of them have shown scale in the true business sense of growth in customer base nor other related production.

The National Arena League has surfaced, their were whispers of Jacksonville developing a new league based upon this name, this means they are in charge and will probably go after and get teams from the other two indoor leagues after this season, this could mean death too the other two.

Things are going to get interesting and ugly this off season.

Oh, and taps to the ADL it lived a short life, but it had so much promise as a league, I will say that the Lions are probably for now the second most powerful organization in the NAL, which would suggest they had input in this development.

This is confusing. NAL is new name for ADL, or a new league entirely?

Both, Fever Jacksonville is interested in a National league there is going to be a piss contest between the AFL and this new league, picture this teams in the two indoor leagues would love to have any one talk about them in the same conversation with AFL teams.

Jacksonville will still be able to offer the only opportunity for those teams (CIF/IFL) to get on a regional TV network and that ego trip will be too powerful to stay away, the customer base of Jacksonville is bigger than the entire league of either cif or ifl though still not overwhelming its bigger and that in business means something.

The ADL name didn't represent the complete concept of Jacksonville, they will operate at a lower cost but will also put pressure on NAL teams after year two, they will want to establish an equal product on the field on par with the AFL (players) they are better than cif/ifl talent.

The smartest thing would be for the NAL and APF to merge.

Thus, it will never happen.
