lets look at possible interleague matchups and opponents within van/vehicle travel options:
who are the possible ABA opponents for:
1.) Albany
2.) East Kentucky
3.) Lawton-Ft. Sill
4.) Minot

I saw the following possible matchups:
1.) Albany vs. Jersey Express, NYC Internationalz, Westchester,
2.) E. KY vs. Kentucky Bisons, KNoxville TBolts, Nashville Broncs
3.) Lawton Ft-Sill vs. ?
4.) Minot vs. ?

Are the owners sure this is gonna work? Surely the CBA just reducing to 24 games had to be the better option.

So a league that:
- has already seen teams fold
- can't give an exact number of teams currently active
- has at least TWO travel teams on hold to try to fill in games
- has yet to release a full schedule for a season already underway

is going to HELP out the CBA?

So, I guess that schedule that Burrell, Larry and Earl are working on is now useless.

Do we think that the other owners were even asked, or is this a one-man decision by Joe?

There is a bridge abutment just ahead. Prepare for the upcoming collision.

The CBA should know better and probably do. This is a desperate decision by a sinking league. Hooking up with the ABA is usually a death sentance in my opinion.
Death Sentence???? Joe Newman has now created the basketball holocaust. It's his evil plan to destroy the C-League since he can't go after the P-League and the D-League

East Kentucky probably is in the best shape here as Knoxville and Nashville appear to be legitimate teams. We don't know much about the Kentucky Bisons, which puts them ahead of most of the ABA teams we do know about.

Albany is in terrible shape. The Internationalz and Phantoms have already missed games.

Lawton-Fort Sill may be able to get a couple Texas opponents in. Minot is a nightmare.

Yup. And Knoxville and Nashville get a huge benefit out of this since they were hurting for opponents. Nashville also gets to test themselves against higher quality opposition. My guess is that if Nashville survive the season they jump to the CBA (although I feel like Joe could have struck a deal with the CBA to force them to promise not to accept any ABA teams next year. It seems something Joe would do. But that's total speculation.)

According to the ABA release, the participating CBA teams are EK, Albany and Minot. No mention of the CBA defending Champions, unless someone forgot to add them.

No, no one forgot to add Lawton-Fort Sill. Word from sources is that they refused to play against ABA teams.

You're assuming there will be a CBA to jump to.

True..Lawton was mad about this arragement. Think about it...No one respects the ABA and now the CBA has sunk to that level. What Isiah did doesnt compare to what Albany just did to the CBA..

Amen.Amen. Amen. Isiah Thomas is forgiven in my book, he's a saint compared to what the CBA and Joe Newman have done.
