Smile Welcome, the Reno ...

Bighorns to the D-League. If you enter www.renobighorns.com, you taken directly to the D-League website. The other finalists were Enforcers, Riders and Rangers. None of the those work at all, with the exception of Riders, which is taken by some bike club.

I like the choice. Now they have to find a coach and a cool logo.

I still wanted Reno Keno. Their mascot could have been a big Keno card with eyes.

Well, it's official now:

Supposedly the logo was supposed to be released at the same time. Hopefully it'll hit the net real soon.

Welcome Reno Bighorns! Long may you headbutt! (figuratively, of course)

Press release (with logo & colors):

Looks great...Only thing I'd worry about is, in the Nevada Wolfpack's city, do you really want a team adopting a name, logo & colors similar to their rivals Colorado State?

Rivals?

UNLV.

Boise State and Fresno State, probably.

Perhaps Nevada aspires to join the Mountain West Conference and battle Colorado State more often, but I doubt too many schools outside the Front Range consider CSU as anything more than inoffensive.
