Default CBA Magic Numbers as of Feb 18 2008

Oh man I just came back from a trip to NYC at the International Toy Fair (surprisingly, no sign of any products involving Joe Newman or the ABA, ha ha). But I wanted to make sure I posted this, as I know people are keeping an eye on who's going to make the playoffs, depending on whatever formulae are used. So as of today, here's how things stack up.

IF ONLY DIVISION WINNERS MAKE PLAYOFFS

Yakama's magic number over Oklahoma is 24.5
Minot's magic number over Pittsburgh is 22.0

IF TOP TWO TEAMS MAKE PLAYOFFS

Yakama would qualify for playoffs
Oklahoma's magic number over Butte is 38.5

Minot's magic number over Albany is 23.5
Pittsburgh's magic number over Albany is 58.0

IF FOUR TEAMS FROM EACH DIVISION MAKE PLAYOFFS

Yakama would qualify for playoffs
Oklahoma would qualify for playoffs
Butte's magic number over Rio Grande Valley is 25.0
Great Falls' magic number over Rio Grande Valley is 51.5

Minot would qualify for playoffs
Pittsburgh would qualify for playoffs
Albany's magic number over Atlanta is 19.0
East Kentucky's magic number over Atlanta is 3.0

GOVERNORS' TROPHY

Yakama can win the Governor's Trophy for the best regular-season quarterpoint total with a magic number over Minot of 40.5.
