Default Silverados defeat King County for second home win

Great Falls’ normal road uniforms didn’t make it to the Valley. As such, they were forced to wear old ABA uniforms that (Rick) Turner still had from coaching in that league last season. They said “Royals” across the chest instead of Explorers.

You never know when those things will come in handy.

Default No idea

Haven't seen any attendance info. I'm going down to see some Vipers and Silverados games in a couple of weeks - I'll take the camera.

This video from a McAllen station says that 4 teams will make the playoffs: http://www.team4news.com/global/vide...5&rnd=14241298

There is a link to the left for game highlights.

Default looked like a decent crowd

Good for Silverados standards anyway. The news clip only showed the stands opposite the benches; usually the stands behind the benches have more fans. They might be benefiting from the Vipers' long road trip.

I find it hilarious how Todd Mavreles of "The Monitor" in Rio Grande Valley says in his latest article that if the season ended today, the Silverados would be a participant in the playoffs. Somebody needs to wake him up because he clearly doesn't know that the CBA goes by quarter point average instead of over quarter points.

On a side note, somebody please tell me that they have contacted the CBA League Office and they are NOT going to have the top 4 teams in each conference make the playoffs. Please tell me that this beat writer in the Rio Grande Valley paper had no clue what he was talking about. I will take this with a grain of salt considering he has no idea how the CBA even ranks teams in the standings.

I contacted the league office by email when I first read the article and have not yet received a response. The CBA goes by both QP average and totals, the total is what matters at the end if everyone has played 48 games, but averages are used during season, as in every league, it's just usually win averages not QP.

Default Great Falls Coach..

..said the same thing in the paper. Maybe they are going to have an eight-team playoff. In the East, at least, they will be fun series.

Ok... I'll add what I heard...

At the press conference here in Pikeville to announce the Miners (back in July), we were told four teams from each conference as well. I heard Coach Keathly on a post-game radio interview (a few weeks ago) also mention wanting to STAY in top four of our conference. So I suspect most of us out this way are thinking it's an eight team playoff.

Again, I'd like to hear somthing official.
