But now,,,back to the subject,,,,If this is true WHAT ABOUT the way it was handled by the CIFL,,,,TAKING MONEY from the owner and then sending out e mails and not wanting to sell the league,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but is that what has been happening all along, taking the money, And yes,,, if lets just say 12 teams apply for the IFL just for saying, maybe they will take 5,6, or even 8 teams, it WILL be the Strong money teams who they will bring over. including Wheeling and or Syracuse,,,did anyone know about Syracuse? The funny thing is I havent heard from MY 2 BIGGEST fans yet regarding this posting ,,,,,because they know it;s the truth. DEAL WITH IT

That said... I refer you to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indoor_Football_League. Now I know Wikipedia isn't terribly reliable, but if the page is accurate, and the IFL gets every "rumored" team and adds every expansion city, it will start 2009 with over 30 teams spread from the Carolinas to Alaska.

History has shown that this is not a stable approach. The CIFL has proven that rapid expansion just adds more teams, not better organizations.

It would have been better for the long-term future of the IFL to play one season with just the teams from the two founding leagues, and then undertake expansion.

However, I understand that indoor football (as a whole) doesn't do long-term planning. So if the IFL wants to start 2009 with over 30 teams, that's fine. It's my considered opinion that they won't finish 2009 with over 30 teams.
And your right,,,they wont if they are not carefull...lets be realistic,,,they are not going to take ALL of the CIFL teams but if they take the 6 or 7 teams that are really good and have their crap together,,,and then take the 5 or 6 AIFA temas,,,carolina, columbus florence, reading, fayettevile,,,those teams ARE SOLID. What if they came on board, do you see any of thse teams going under after 1 season,,,,,the reasin the IFL came about id that in all the yrs they have played not one time has ANY of them not played a game due to whatever reason,,,like PLAYERS not being paid and owners NOT PAYING their bills,,,,,,What I do find FUNNY is when the PEOPLE WHO took the DEPOSIT, now DONT want to sell,,,this is great stuff,,,are asking the OWNER,"hey when DO we have to give BACK the deposit" quote....I bet it is already SPENT,,,

Of course you meant the IFL, why would a team want to move to the AIFA?

Do you think the CIFL could be done?

Hey chardale, at what point will you be required to post facts? You are being told lies. It is sad that false information can be posted for all to read.

I will not use the message board for the reason you are, but I suggest you take the spoon out of your mouth and question what is being put on it before you repeat it.

Wow. You base the entire premise of your response on something as unreliable as a wikipedia article. I don't even know how to respond to that ...

So what part do you mean is not true, Every body know's the league WAS for sale, and the deadline was or was not yesterday. If you cant produce the proper paper work to show who paid what the the sale should be off, it's called DUE diligence. And was the ASKING price 150 K for the league, and did u or your better half want to be the League Commish when the sale is done. You guys did a good thing by starting the CIFL, which is why this thing is leading tho where it is going but it wans't ran proper,You know it and so do others. The only difference between you guys and the Arena league is that it IS run like a businuess. The CIFL is run by the seat of your pant's and you know it. Some people paying due's and some NOT, paying deposits and some not. If you want you can apply for a job with the IFL as lets say,,,? Media PERSON, but I dont think that will go over very well, I know what IS being fed to me and IT was 2 of your BEST owners, Again if I am not telling the truth about any of these things prove other wise. IF you want I might be able to post the Sales Agreement or even the CONTRACT for the sale of the LEAGUE THAT you SIGNED,,,right or wrong. See ya,,have a nice day,,adios...CIFL gear might be a colectors Item like the NIFL things, HOLD on to them

I won't sink to your level. In the end, the IFL will either learn from history or repeat it. Calling me an idiot won't change that.

You can't sink any further when you're already in the gutter. And ignoring me won't change the fact that you're still an idiot. The fact that you base your arguments and opinions on information gathered from a source equivalent to a supermarket tabloid (ie, Wikipedia) is indication that you have no credibility whatsoever.

On one side - the IFL needs to ensure its owners and team representatives don't make the league look bad with message board posting. Far more people read these than post on them, and one IFL team management member acting like an ass makes the entire league look bush.

On the other side - none of my sources, CIFL or non-CIFL, know anything about any offer made to sell the CIFL. I know for a fact the CIFL is not actively looking to sell, but that if the "right offer" came along, they'd be dumb not to take it (that said, the CIFL owns no part of any teams, so someone looking to buy the league needs their head examined). This one could be propagated by people that aren't terribly interested in the CIFL succeeding.

Default Cifl For Sale Or Not?

What We Need Right Now Is For Everyone To Be Up Front. If You Are Leaving The Cifl Just Come Out And Tell Jeff And Eric You Are Leaving. It Would Be A Shame If Everyone Were Telling Jeff And Eric They Are Staying When They Know They Are Leaving. Jeff And Eric If Bringing Someone In To Help You With Running The League Will Make It Run Better So We Can Save The League Then Do It. It Would Be A Crime To See This League Fall A Part After All The Hard Work That Has Been Put In To Make This A Good League. To All Parties Involved Do The Right Thing, Not Just For The Cifl But For The Fans Who Have Supported This League For The Last 3 Years.
