National Arena League: The NAL has lost another team as the High Country Grizzlies (Boone, NC) have left the league to join the American Arena League for the 2018 season. The Grizzlies were a new team in 2017 and competed in the NAL\'s inaugural season. The NAL is now down to only six teams: the returning Columbus (GA) Lions, Georgia Firebirds (Albany), Jacksonville Sharks, Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (Allentown, PA) and Monterrey Steel (Mexico), along with the expansion Jersey Flight (Trenton). The NAL operated with eight teams in 2017, but the Corpus Christi Rage and the Wolfpack/Georgia Doom travel teams were previously dropped by the league.

This suggest the NAL doesn't have the ability to hold conversations with the IFL about merging into it as a division, but may not have options other than possibly asking what's left of the IFL for merging opportunities.
