Battery Complete 2-1 Comeback Win Over Sacramento, Markanich and Ycaza Score
CHARLESTON, SC - The Charleston Battery completed a 2-1 comeback victory over Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday at Patriots Point. After going down 0-1 before halftime, the Battery rallied in the second half with goals from Nick Markanich and Emilio Ycaza for the victory. Markanich tied the USL Championship's single-season goal record by scoring his 25th goal of the year. Colorado Springs, CO - Switchbacks FC went head-to-head against Tampa Bay Rowdies and gained a win at home with a final score of 4-2. The Switchbacks brought high energy into Weidner Field tonight. Just in the first half the team had five shots on target, had 194 accurate passes, won seven out of eight tackles, and held 54.5% possession of the ball. Albuquerque Takes Season Series with Win
TACOMA, WA - The Tacoma Rainiers (75-62) lost their third game of the series to the Albuquerque Isotopes (56-81) by a score of 5-2, Saturday at Cheney Stadium. For the fourth consecutive game, Albuquerque got on the board first, scoring three runs on one swing of the bat. Yanquiel Fernandez crushed a three-run home run 402 feet in the second inning to put the Isotopes in front.
