Kelowna, B.C. - Tyson Zimmer netted the overtime winner for the Vancouver Giants on Saturday night in Kelowna in preseason action. The 20-year-old ripped a one-timer past Jari Kykkanen on a 4-on-3 power play 2:47 into the extra frame, completing the comeback for the G-Men after they initially trailed 2-0. Vancouver is now 2-1-0 in the 2024 preseason. Also scoring in the game for the Giants was Ryan Lin and Jakob Oreskovic. A week after locking up a spot in the 2024 USL Championship Playoffs, Louisville City FC took another step forward Saturday when also ensuring its postseason opener will be played at home. Jansen Wilson scored the game's lone goal in a victory over FC Tulsa, with a 1-0 result marking LouCity's eighth win in its last nine games. Kennewick, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs wrapped up the preseason on Saturday night with a matchup against local rival Tri-City Americans. It was a quiet first period with no goals either way.
