Roadrunners Beat San Jose 5-1 to Open Weekend

TUCSON, AZ - Without a lot of water in Tucson, the San Jose Barracuda drowned early, losing 5-1 on Friday night at Tucson Arena as the Roadrunners improved to 11-6-1-1 on the year. The Roadrunners came out in period one like a Barracuda out of water. Just 1:34 into the game Josh Doan was given a penalty-shot and took advantage. Stars Open Weekend Victorious at Cedar Rapids

Jared Mangan scored two goals and added two assists to lead the Lincoln Stars to a 5-1 win over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday night at the ImOn Ice Arena. Martin Masa scored in the final minute of the second period for his first USHL goal and the eventual game-winner. Blake Montgomery recorded a Gordon Howe Hat Trick with a goal, two assists and a fight. Keaton Peters scored his fifth goal of the season, all of which have come in the last four games. (Belleville, ON) -The Rochester Americans (11-5-2-0) rode rookie goaltender Devon Levi's 40-save effort as they picked up a 3-2 victory in a shootout against the Belleville Senators (7-8-1-2) Friday night at CAA Arena. Cleveland, OH - The Sioux Falls Skyforce erased a 17-point deficit to overcome a 113-109 victory over the Cleveland Charge on Friday night from the Wolstein Center.
