OAKLAND(AP) - Fred Besana threw four touchdown passes to lead Oakland over Washington 34-27.
Besana, in raising his TD pass total to 15, hit Wyatt Henderson twice and Gordon Banks and Jerry AJdridge once a piece.
The Federals drove to the Oakland 2-yard line in the closing minutes, were pushed back to the 7 by a damaging delay-of-game penalty, and Washington quarterback Mike Hohensee was stopped at the 1 as he tried to score on a quarterback draw play with 1:22 left.
