Washington (UPI) - Birmingham Stallions reserve quarterback Bob Lane threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns to lead his team to a 35-3 victory and hand the Washington Federals (1-8) their fourth straight defeat.
Lane, playing for the injured Reggie Collier, completed 13 of 29 passes, including touchdown passes of 20 and 44 yards for Birmingham(4-5).
