Orlando 17 at Denver 21
1985 Week 6 - Sunday, March 31, 1985Attendance: 10,217
Denver(AP) - Quarterback Vince Evans passed for two second-half touchdowns and rushed for another as the Denver Gold overcame a lethargic first half to hand the Orlando Renegades their sixth straight loss, 21-17, in a United States Football League game Sunday.
The Gold victory, before only 10,217 spectators - the smallest home crowd in Gold history was Denver's fourth of the season against two defeats. The Renegades have yet to win.
Behind 17-0 after a largely futile first half in which the Gold quarterback had thrown for less than 100 yards, Evans quickly got the Gold on the scoreboard when he hit Vincent White with a 10-yard TD pass in the first 5 minutes ofthe third quarter.
