September 4, 2016 - SCHAUMBURG, IL - Gunnar Kines carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning for the Schaumburg Boomers as he defeated the ThunderBolts in the 2016 season finale 6-1 at Boomers Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Boomers (41-55) broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the third inning. They loaded the bases as Tobias Moreno singled and Mikal Hill and Daniel Hoy each walked. September 3, 2016 - SCHAUMBURG, IL - Larry Balkwill drove in five runs to lead a ThunderBolts attack that scored nine unanswered runs to defeat the Schaumburg Boomers 12-4 at Boomers Stadium Saturday night. September 2, 2016 - SCHAUMBURG, IL - The ThunderBolts were unable to hold a 3-0 lead as they fell to the Schaumburg Boomers 4-3 in the opener of the final series of the season at Boomers Stadium Friday night. September 1, 2016 - Clay Chapman did not allow a hit until the seventh inning and gave up only one total in eight innings as he led the Windy City ThunderBolts to a 2-1 win over the Washington Wild Things in the home finale at Standard Bank Stadium Thursday night. Chapman was a little wild early as he walked three of the first ten men he faced. He was able to pitch out of some early jams, though, and did not issue another walk after the third.
