Smith Returns with New Two-Year Deal

May 19, 2016 - (Windsor, ON) - General Manager Warren Rychel is pleased to announce the club has agreed to a new two-year contract with Assistant Coach Jerrod Smith. Smith, 32, recently completed his third season behind the Spitfires bench and his first with Head Coach Rocky Thompson and Associate Coach Trevor Letowski. Sergachev Named OHL Defenceman of the Year

April 29, 2016 - (Windsor, ON) - Mikhail Sergachev is the 2015-16 recipient of the Max Kaminsky Trophy, awarded annually to the Ontario Hockey League's Most Outstanding Defenceman. The 17-year-old from Nizhnekamsk, Russia had an outstanding first season in the OHL, finishing with 17 goals - most among all league defencemen - and 40 assists for 57 points and a plus-15 rating in 67 games.
