Penguins Re-Sign Barry Goers

July 8, 2016 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Barry Goers to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season. Goers underwent preseason hip surgery last year, but returned to the Penguins' line-up on Mar. 4 and went on to record two assists in 16 games. In the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs, Goers led all Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defensemen with five assists in the Penguins' 10 postseason games.
