Kessey, Stevens Blank Thunder in Tulsa

February 19, 2017 - Tulsa, OK- Kale Kessey recorded a hat trick and Colin Stevens stopped all 23 shots he faced as Wichita lost in Tulsa on Sunday afternoon by the final of 5-0 at the BOK Center. Tulsa struck twice in the first period. Kale Kessey scored just six minutes in as he fired a wrist shot from the right circle past Matt O'Connor. Darcy Murphy made it 2-0 at 18:35 as his shot along the goal line got through O'Connor's legs. The Oilers added two more in the second as Danick Paquette found the net at 1:45 to make it 3-0. February 18, 2017 - Wichita, KS - Tyson Spink scored with 13 minutes left in the third period to help Toledo claim a 3-2 victory over Wichita on Saturday night at INTRUST Bank Arena. Macoy Erkamps and Louick Marcotte recorded goals for the Thunder and Blake Tatchell added two assists. Ottawa Sends O'Connor to Wichita

February 18, 2017 - Wichita, KS- The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that goaltender Matt O'Connor has been assigned to the team by the Senators from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. O'Connor, 25, has played in 26 games this season for the B-Sens, sporting a 3.05 goals-against average and a .893 save-percentage. A native of Toronto, Ontario, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound netminder signed with the Senators as a free agent in 2015 after graduating from Boston University. ... Full Story

Rapid City Claims High-Scoring Contest over Wichita

February 15, 2017 - Wichita, KS (Feb. 15th) - In a high-scoring affair on Wednesday night, Wichita couldn't overcome a slow start in the third period and lost to Rapid City by the final of 7-5 at INTRUST Bank Arena. Blake Tatchell, Macoy Erkamps and Alexis Vanier each finished with multi-point outings in the losing effort.
