LaFontaine Named Coach of the Year, Goodsir Named Rookie of the Year

April 28, 2016 - It was difficult to envision a sophomore season living up to the level of success the Wildcats' Head Coach had in his first year with the team. In 2014-15, LaFontaine took the Wildcats to--at the time--new heights. He set records in wins with 39, and his team led the league in several offensive categories. April 22, 2016 - The Wichita Falls Wildcats clinched their first-ever appearance in the South Division Finals with a 6-3 victory Friday night, sweeping the Jackalopes and ending their season. The Cats wasted no time setting the tone in the game and showed the Jackalopes what they and their fans were in for. April 16, 2016 - The Wildcats rolled to a 5-0 victory at the KYC on Friday night, dominating Game 2 of the South Division Semis for the second straight postseason. Clearly dissatisfied with the way they started Game 1, the Wildcats came out of the gates flying in the first period of Game 2. April 15, 2016 - The Wildcats opened the 2016 Robertson Cup Playoffs in unorthodox fashion, falling behind 3-0 in the first period and scoring six unanswered goals to take Game 1 of the South Division Semi-Finals.
