Carr Drives Nailers Past Royals, 2-1

January 21, 2017 - READING, PA- The Wheeling Nailers have played three games in seven days away from WesBanco Arena, and their time on the road has been rather fun. Cody Wydo and Doug Carr shined the brightest on Saturday night, as Wydo lit the lamp twice, while Carr made 34 saves, as the Nailers edged the Reading Royals, 2-1 at Santander Arena for their third road victory in a row. January 20, 2017 - NORFOLK, VA- The Wheeling Nailers delivered the ultimate spanking to the Norfolk Admirals on Friday night at Norfolk Scope Arena. Wheeling scored four times in the second period, then snagged another four tallies in the third period. Jordan Kwas was the only player with multiple goals in a 9-2 victory. Penguins Recall Webster, Nailers Sign Boyle

January 20, 2017 - WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced two roster moves, which both take effect immediately. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins recalled defenseman Michael Webster. The Nailers then signed defenseman Tim Boyle to an ECHL contract. Webster, 21, earns his first opportunity at the AHL level, as he plays in his first season of professional hockey.
