July 23, 2016 - ROCHESTER, NY --- The Western New York Flash (8-5-1) entered the night needing a win for a chance to take sole possession of first place in the NWSL standings. Their opponent FC Kansas City (4-6-4) did not back down however, keeping the top-scoring team in the league off the scoresheet. July 17, 2016 - SEATTLE, WA (July 16, 2016) --- The Western New York Flash (8-4-1) took 19 shots on Saturday night, but only one crossed the goal line, as the visitors drew Seattle Reign FC (4-4-5), 1-1. Jess McDonald tied the game at one just before the halftime whistle as she put a volleyed corner kick into the back of the net. Wny Flash Waive Laura Liedle

July 15, 2016 - ELMA, N.Y. (7/15/2016) - The Western New York Flash have waived 22-year-old defender Laura Liedle, it was announced today. Liedle spent her college career at Stanford and was drafted by the Flash with the 24th overall pick in the 2016 NWSL college draft.
