Hinostroza Makes Russia Return

April 28, 2016 - Waterloo, Iowa - Four years after starring for the Waterloo Black Hawks during the 2012 Junior Club World Cup in Siberia, forward Vince Hinostroza will represent the United States in St. Petersburg during the 2016 IIHF Men's World Championships, USA Hockey announced Thursday. The United States Men's National Team will take the ice during the sport's top annual international competition May 6th through 22nd. Last season, Team USA claimed a bronze medal. April 27, 2016 - Another New Beginning After opening the playoffs with a four-game series win against the Lincoln Stars, the Black Hawks advance to face the Western Conference-winning Tri-City Storm in a new best-of-five beginning Friday. Tri-City achieved a conference-high 73 points during the regular season, then swept the Sioux Falls Stampede during the first round. April 24, 2016 - Ronnie Hein lifted the Waterloo Black Hawks to the second round of the Clark Cup Playoffs, securing a 4-3 Young Arena victory over the Lincoln Stars after nearly 90 minutes of game action Sunday. The Hawks took the series three-games-to-one. At 9:32 of the second overtime, two Stars defenders nearly collided in the neutral zone, and an errant pass caromed backwards across the Lincoln blue line.
