Mystics to Select Second in 2017 WNBA Draft

September 28, 2016 - WASHINGTON, D.C. - The WNBA announced that the Washington Mystics received the second overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft Lottery presented by State Farm. The lottery aired during halftime of the semifinal playoff game featuring the Phoenix Mercury and the Minnesota Lynx. Mystics GM and head coach Mike Thibault was the team's representative. August 31, 2016 - The Mystics and Lynx currently split the regular season series 1-1 after the Mystics defeated the defending WNBA Champions 87-63 on June 26. The two teams will meet again this Friday in Minnesota. The Lynx who started the season 13-0 had their historical start halted by losing two consecutive games, one to the Mystics. August 30, 2016 - Today's Storyline The Mystics opened the second half of the season with a decisive 92-69 win against the Indiana Fever. Tayler Hill and Emma Meesseman led the way with 18 and 17 points respectively while rookie Kahleah Copper came off the bench to add a career-high 17 points.
