Steel Battle Past Musketeers Sunday

January 15, 2017 - GENEVA, ILLINOIS - In a hard-fought battle between the USHL's top two teams, Chicago's line of Reggie Lutz, Jake Jaremko and Walker Duehr combined for two second-period goals to lead the Steel (23-6-1-3, 50 pts.) past the Sioux City Musketeers (20-8-4-1, 45 pts.) 2-1 Sunday at Fox Valley Ice Arena. Ales Stezka made 25 saves in the victory. Following a fast-paced but scoreless first period, Jaremko opened the scoring at the 9:55 mark of the second period. Six Different Steel Scorers Send Chicago to 6-2 Victory

January 14, 2017 - GENEVA, ILLINOIS - After being acquired via trade earlier in the day, newcomer Aleksi Halme recorded three points in his Steel debut to lead Chicago (22-6-1-3, 48 pts.) to a 6-2 win over Team USA U17 (11-15-1-1 24 pts.) Fighting Saints Crush Black Hawks

January 14, 2017 - DUBUQUE, Iowa - *Kevin Charyszyn started the scoring for the Waterloo Black Hawks, but the Dubuque Fighting Saints had other ideas on home ice. Six unanswered goals, including two by captain *Dallas Gerads*, paved the way for the Saints en route to a 6-1 drubbing of the Hawks on Saturday night at the Mystique Community Ice Center in front of 2,736 fans. Hawks Clip Lancers in OT

January 13, 2017 - Ralston, NE - The Lancers struck first, but an overtime goal by Kevin Charyszyn was the difference as the Black Hawks topped the Lancers 2-1 in overtime Friday night. Greg Printz continued his point-streak to five-games with an assist on the lone goal. Omaha lost in overtime for the fourth time this season. Defenseman Will Scherer made his Lancer and USHL debut in the OT loss. Omaha's power play got the scoring opened up in the first period.
