TC Alumni Update: Kenny Brooks Plays in First Pro Game + Former TC Standouts Dominant in NCAA

October 18, 2016 - Tuesday, October 18, 2016 Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm's ECHL and AHL alumni took to the ice for the opening weekend of the ECHL and AHL season. Making his first appearance of the season, former Storm goalie Adam Wilcox (TC: 2011-12) backstopped the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) to a 6-3 win Sunday in Rochester, pushing Syracuse to a 2-0-0-0 start. Storm's Philip Alftberg Named USHL Defenseman of the Week

October 17, 2016 - Kearney, Neb. - Tri-City Storm defenseman Philip Alftberg was named CCM Defenseman of the Week, the USHL announced Monday. Alftberg leads league defensemen with seven points and is tied for second among blueliners with five assists. In two weekend wins, the 19-year-old scored two goals and four points. Friday against Cedar Rapids, Alftberg earned two assists. Storm Weekly: Dominant Weekend Leads Storm into Second-Ever "Bye Week"

October 17, 2016 - The Tri-City Storm embarks on its second-ever fall "bye week", a 13-day break, after sweeping Storm Fights Cancer Weekend. For the third straight season, hundreds of community members joined players and coaches to Paint the Ice with the names of those that have battled cancer. In the next two victories on the painted ice, the Storm outscored opponents, 10-3, blasting Cedar Rapids, 6-0, and overcoming Lincoln, 4-3. Tri-City Storm Comes Back to Erase Stars, 4-3

October 15, 2016 - Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm scored two goals in the third period to come back and nudge the Lincoln Stars, 4-3, Saturday at the Viaero Center. With the Storm (4-4-0-1) down a goal, Tri-City's leading scorer Alex Limoges (5g, 5a) tallied to tie the game five minutes into the third. Six minutes later, Lincoln (4-4-0-0) attempted to clear the puck from in front of its net, but the puck struck Bryan Yoon and went in for a power-play marker, giving Yoon his first USHL goal.
