Americans Sign Tyler Jette

September 26, 2016 - KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 18-year-old Tyler Jette to a standard WHL Player Contract. Jette, a 6'3 190-lb defenseman from Farmington, MN, has played his last three seasons with the Farmington High team of the USHSL. Last season, he played in 22 games, earning 5 goals and 17 assists for a total of 22 points and 34 penalty minutes. Jette earned a nomination for the 2016 Reed Larson award. Americans Romp in Home Opener

September 25, 2016 - KENNEWICK, WA - The Americans won a crazy game 8-3 over the Spokane Chiefs. You had to see this game to believe it! In the first period, Michael Rasmussen put Spokane on their heels and then sent them reeling. On the power play, he was able to net the first goal of the season for the Americans just 2 and half minutes into the game. Just after the 10 minute mark, he did it again, in the same place, on the power play. Just after 16 minutes, Rasmussen completed his natural hat trick, the Tri-City's first hat trick in 3 years... September 19, 2016 - KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager, Bob Tory, announced today that the team has traded 18-year-old forward Jordan Roy to the Red Deer Rebels for a conditional 5th round bantam draft pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. September 16, 2016 - KENNEWICK, WA - After a hard fought game, the Americans fell to the Spokane Chiefs 3-2 in overtime. The Ams came out to a slow start with Spokane scoring the first to goals of the contest. The first would come at 7:54 from Ostir and the second, a few minutes later, came from Anderson-Dolan. The Americans were able to bring themselves back into striking distance with a goal by Morgan Geekie with just 30 seconds remaining in the first.
