Runners Eliminated in Double OT Marathon

May 3, 2016 - The longest game in RoadRunner history ended in a disappointing defeat on Monday night, as the Wichita Falls Wildcats seized a 2-1 win in double overtime to clinch the South Division title in three straight games. It's the third consecutive season that Topeka has ended their season with an overtime loss at home. (2015 - Division Finals vs Lone Star, and 2014 - Robertson Cup Semi Finals vs Austin). 'Runners Stumble in Game 2, Now Face Elimination

May 1, 2016 - For the second time in as many nights, the Topeka RoadRunners scored first and Wichita Falls answered back. The teams would trade leads three times in Game 2 of the South Division Finals Saturday night before the Wildcats skated off with a 5-4 win and a 2-0 series lead. Topeka hit the board first when Jack Nickels put back a rebound, set up by Yu Hikosaka and John O'Connor at 5:22 of the opening period. Wildcats Take Game One Victory

April 30, 2016 - The Topeka RoadRunners opened the scoring but Wichita Falls rebounded to claim a 3-1 win in Game 1 of the South Division Finals Friday night. The RoadRunners scored first when Quinn Preston forced a turnover at the Wildcat blue line, then dished it to a streaking Sami Tavernier, who slid it to his left for Andrew Hart. Hart unloaded a heavy snapshot high on the glove side and at 13:05, Topeka led 1-0. Strong Recognized with Leadership Award

April 28, 2016 - The North American Hockey League (NAHL) on Wednesday revealed their All-Division teams and awards, and Topeka captain Cam Strong was honored with the South Division Leadership Award. Strong, a second year RoadRunner from Billings, MT appeared in 108 career games and collected 69 points. Committed to Dartmouth College, the 21 year old forward has collected numerous team awards.
