September 21, 2015 - SEVIERVILLE - The Chicago Cubs announced on Monday that Tennessee Smokies catcher Willson Contreras and starting pitcher Ryan Williams have been named the organization's top Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively. September 9, 2015 - SEVIERVILLE - The Southern League Wednesday announced Tennessee Smokies General Manager Brian Cox as the recipient of the league's 2015 Jimmy Bragan Executive of the Year Award, as voted on by the league's executives. September 7, 2015 - BILOXI, Miss. - Smokies catcher Willson Contreras recorded four hits in four at bats to clinch the Southern League batting title and three pitchers combined to shutout Biloxi 2-0 in game one, while the Shuckers won the season finale 3-2 as Tennessee completed their 2015 campaign on Monday afternoon at MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi.
