Nachbaur Makes History as Chiefs Explode in Third

January 30, 2016 - SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs woke from a two-period slumber to score four goals in the third period, earning Head Coach Don Nachbaur his franchise-best 224th win behind the bench. Nachbaur passed former Chiefs boss and current Toronto Maple Leafs Head Coach Mike Babcock on the all-time wins list. "I don't like to pat myself on the back," Nachbaur said after the game. Spokane Chiefs Officially Retire Ray Whitney's Number 14

January 29, 2016 - SPOKANE, Wash. - In a press conference at Spokane Arena on Friday afternoon, the Spokane Chiefs officially retired number 14 in honor of former player and long-time NHL standout Ray Whitney. The Chiefs will also have a special pre-game ceremony on Friday night at the Arena before their game versus the Seatle Thunderbirds. It is the first retired number in franchise history.
