Richmond Raiders to Sit out 2016 Season

September 8, 2015 - As previously communicated, our organization has been evaluating changes with the East coast based Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) resulting from the recent departure of two of the seven teams which comprised the league during the 2015 season. This comes after the Richmond Raiders completed six successful seasons of exciting indoor football which enabled players to grow and move up in the professional football ranks while the team contributed actively in the community. Five 2015 Raiders Playing at Higher Level

August 6, 2015 - RICHMOND, Va. (August 4, 2015) - Four members of the 2015 Richmond Raiders squad are seeing their hard work pay off with the chance to play in the Arena Football League (AFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). T.C. Stevens Called up to New Orleans VooDoo

July 23, 2015 - RICHMOND, Va. (July 22, 2015) - Richmond Raiders kicker T.C. Stevens was called up to the New Orleans VooDoo of the Arena Football League on July 17. Stevens, a fourth year player for the Raiders and Hampden-Sydney standout, has joined the VooDoo to replace an injured kicker. Stevens has already had a chance to contribute to the team, as he stepped in during the VooDoo's 65-53 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm on July 18. Raiders Fall Short In Championship

July 8, 2015 - RICHMOND, Va. (July 6, 2015) - The Richmond Raiders (9-5) fell to the Columbus Lions (10-3) by a score of 64-38 on Monday night at the Columbus Civic Center in Georgia. This was Columbus' first PIFL Championship since joining the league in 2012. For Richmond, it was the team's third trip to the finals in four years, and the third time they have come up just short of winning it all.
