Monday's Daylight Game Moved to 4

February 11, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks have moved Monday's Daylight Game by one hour to 4 p.m. With the curtains open in Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the game, the new start time will ensure any sunlight is off the playing surface by the time the game starts. "The new 4 p.m. game time will still allow daylight in the arena, but the safety of the players is our highest priority. Rodrigo Abols Scores in OT to Give Winterhawks a 3-2 Win in Spokane

February 11, 2016 - Rodrigo Abols scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Portland Winterhawks (27-25-2-0) picked up a 3-2 win in Spokane Wednesday over the Chiefs (26-21-4-2). Abols went hard to the net in the extra frame and battled for a loose puck, fending off a Spokane defender and knocking it in to give the Hawks the win. February 8, 2016 - Hawks Happenings On The Ice: Rihards Bukarts had an assist on Portland's first period goal Saturday against Victoria to extend his point streak to five games. Bukarts has been remarkably consistent with the Hawks this season, as only once has he gone as many as two straight games without a point. He has 41 points in 39 games with Portland since being acquired in late October. February 6, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks (26-25-2-0) fell 3-1 the Victoria Royals (34-15-2-3) Saturday at the Moda Center in front of 9,096 fans. The Hawks opened the scoring 8:49 into the first when Cody Glass wired a shot from the right faceoff circle over the shoulder of Victoria netminder Griffen Outhouse for a 1-0 lead Portland took into the second period.
