Caleb Jones Signs with Edmonton Oilers

April 7, 2016 - Portland Winterhawks defenseman Caleb Jones has signed a three-year entry level contract with the Edmonton Oilers. Jones was selected in the fourth round, 117th overall, in last June's National Hockey League Draft. In his first season with the Winterhawks, Jones had ten goals and 45 assists for 55 points in 72 games. Adin Hill Signs with Arizona Coyotes

April 5, 2016 - Portland Winterhawks goaltender Adin Hill has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotes. Hill was selected in the third round, 76th overall, in last June's National Hockey League Draft. As a 20-year-old next season, he will be eligible to return to Portland. April 1, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks have announced that General Manager/Head Coach Jamie Kompon has been relieved of his duties. "We'd like to thank Jamie for his hard work and dedication over the last two seasons," said Portland Winterhawks President Doug Piper. "We felt the best course of action for our long-term future was to make a change, and we will begin the process of searching for his replacement immediately." Winterhawks Fall 4-2 as Everett Advances to Second Round

March 31, 2016 - The Portland Winterhawks' season came to an end as they fell 4-2 to the Everett Silvertips Wednesday in Game 4 of their first round playoff series at the Moda Center. Everett opened the scoring at 12:30 of the first on a power play goal from Cole MacDonald for a 1-0 lead.
