Spitfires to Submit MasterCard Memorial Cup Bid

February 8, 2016 - (Windsor, ON) - The Windsor Spitfires will be submitting a Letter of Intent and Standard Bid Application to host the 2017 MasterCard Memorial Cup later this week, as required by the Ontario Hockey League and Canadian Hockey League appointed deadline of February 10th , 2016. Maksimov to Represent Russia in 2016 Five Nations Tournament

February 8, 2016 - SAGINAW, MI - On Monday, Saginaw Spirit General Manager Dave Drinkill announced rookie forward Kirill Maksimov will play for Team Russia in the 2016 Five Nations Tournament in Plymouth, Michigan. Wolves Double-Up on Spirit

February 8, 2016 - The Sudbury Wolves were in Saginaw Saturday night looking to make it two in a row following Friday night's victory over the Flint Firebirds. The Wolves were able to take a 3-0 lead by the half way mark of the game and never looked back, doubling the Spirit 6-3. The Wolves got on the board first with a goal from MIKKEL AAGAARD just 6 minutes into the game. Goaltender TROY TIMPANO was tested early, making 11 saves in the opening period. February 7, 2016 - The Sudbury Wolves were in Flint Friday night looking to get back in the win column. Despite a late rally by the Firebirds, the Sudbury Wolves were able to pull together to take the game in overtime by a final score of 5-4. In the first period, MICHAEL PEZZETTA opened the scoring on the first shot of the game with a short-handed goal. MACAULEY CARSON picked up the assists on the play.
